  dont mess around....see your doctor.

  not that we are old, but at our age the body reacts differntly from when we were 25.

  As for the Vicadin (hydrocodone) go easy; it is addicative more than you know. I just had some nasty withdrawal from the stuff.

  damn that boy can eat you would have thought he walked all the way from new york his last designation!

  in his defense he's also a worker, he's trimmed our cedar trees, walked the dog, cleaned up the dog's poop, did the dishes (sorry about his arms falling off, they are paper ya know), oh and he did the dishes after he cooked the dinner.........gawd do i really have to part with him?

  all in all he's a great little guy, doesn't talk much, is very well behaved and doesn't take up much room either, so anyone interested in having flat stanley be a guest please pm me with your addy first to reply is the winner but get in line for the next designation after.. here is the original link explaining all about flat stanley: .

  yes, flat stanley was our house guest on Long Island just last week.

  He was a pleasure to have around ; made my kids laugh; his travels were the toast of all of our friends...

  i don't have much trust in that missile defense system.

  i doubt that it could even intercept one missile coming at us.. do you feel safer with this defense system?.

  it may work; it may not.

  of more concern to me is the law ALLOWING a commercial passenger aircraft to be shot down by a missile. ( to avoid another 9/11 incident).

  So, if you are a passenger on another suicidal hijacked airliner heading toward a metopolitan landmark; the Air Force is authorized to shoot you down....not good if you are one of the passengers; doesnt do much for me to want to take my children flying anytime soon...all this because the airlines cannot seem to perfect and improve security.

  evidently the WTBTS can make investments (irregardless of military contracts) as they please to make money for "Jehovahs work".

  You and I would be disfellowshipped...

  40 years ago my father ( an Aerospace Engineer) was told he had to give up his Engineering work designing aircraft for GRUMAN Aerospace due to it being military based. He had a wife and three small children to support. He was told it could lead to disfellowshipping.... so he complied...

  Did you believe that the "Pope" was infalliable when you were Catholic?

  my roman catholic aunt has been a "devout" catholic for over 30 years and when the pope recently became ill she told me that god would not allow the pope to die but would take him directly to heaven because the pope is sinless.

  i am not familar with catholic doctrines so i was caught off guard with my aunt but for any posters out there that were devout catholics like my aunt do catholics really believe that the pope is without sin and cannot die?

  my wife and her family are very liberal Catholic.

  They are appalled and very critical concerning the pedophile issues; and they are outspoken about it.

  They believe that the Pope is just an old man; an archaic figurehead representing ; not so much Catholics worldwide, but representing the Vatican; certainly not a connection to God.

  Do you feel that "all" Christian denomnations should be "abolished"?

  i ask this question because my "atheist" friend the other day told me that he is much mentally free now since he left christianity.

  he told me that "all" christians that he comes into contact with or knows from his religious lifetime are "miserable" and that the govt should abolish all christian groups for the sake of perserving the mental health of the people.

  christians never are satisfied with their lives because they are trying to measure up to "jesus" and the apostles and will never measure up which causes many nervous breakdowns among religious people of all christian groups not just jw or mormons but many born-agains have mental breakdown as well.

  ...why abolish anything?

  We live in a free society; one can pick and choose religion the way one would choose clothing.

  I firmly believe that FORCE ( as in abolishing chrisitianity) may accomplish a goal; but it WILL NOT change the thought process which produced the abolished belief to begin with.

  Rome tried to abolish Chrisitianity once; and look what happend to them....

  i have the old standard belief that you should not get into this, and yet i am curious.

  Bad news from my blood test :(

  the other day i went in for a routine physical and today i got the results in the mail.

  it turns out my cholesterol is out of wack and needs to be corrected.

  (normal) numbers in parenth are what my levels should be.. cholesterol = 249 ( < 200 ).
